Boys Junior Varsity Baseball, Boys Varsity Baseball · HCA Baseball First-Half Season Summary

The Heritage Christian Academy Eagles baseball team had a lot of expectations going into the season as they were preseason prediction to win state and have the player of the year, Seth Halvorsen. The team has started strong going 6-1 with a 6-0 conference record. Due to the weather and postponements, there have now been two straight weeks of 4 games. The Eagles have caught fire on the mound AND with the bats the last four games as they have won by a combined score of  61-3 including a 20-0 rout of conference opponent Maranatha. Because of the number of runs there are 5 players (Sam Frederickson, Zach Richards, Seth Halvorsen, Jonny Flynn, and Steph Sawtelle) in the top 22 for RBIs in the state. It has been a fun start and the Eagles look to remain hot going forward in to what may be the toughest part of the schedule next week (New Life, Southwest, Central MN Christian, Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg).
