The 2018 volleyball season began in the summer with players coming in to the gym, sometimes even on their own to get repetitions, build friendships, and be ready for pre-season. From day one, this team treated each other with respect, regardless of their age or experience level. It truly made this team what it was. The seniors, Grace Deckert, Jenna Mudd, and Morgan Millar, who were also our captains did a fabulous job of setting the tone and being great leaders for the younger players on the team. Another factor to our success was the high level of play that came from multiple players who ranked high in the state for their position, with Jordyn Allen playing two major roles as a middle hitter and a setter, Jenna Mudd who ranked 1st in the state in serve receptions, Ainsley Halvorsen who led the state on occasion with aces and had over 300 kills, and Kelsie Knaggs with her steady play. Great job ladies for your hard work, dedication and the way your represented Heritage for God’s glory.
